Tractebel and the ENGIE Group pay tribute to Philippe Bodson, former Head of Tractebel Group.

It is with profound sadness that Tractebel pay tribute to Philippe Bodson, its former Chairman and CEO, who left an indelible mark on Belgian industry and the first developments of the Group.

As Head of Tractebel Group from 1989 to 1999, Philippe Bodson was the linchpin in the Group’s internationalization, with the development of its activities in Europe and beyond, from its Belgian base.

A charismatic leader bursting with ideas, he prepared the Group and its teams for the liberalization of the energy market. Without a doubt, Philippe Bodson was one of the visionaries of the field of energy in Belgium.

To his family, Tractebel and the ENGIE Group express their deepest and heartfelt sympathies.
