District Cooling System at Amaravati Government Complexes in India

26 Apr 2019

Our team in India has been awarded by Tabreed for the Project Management Services of District Cooling System at Amaravati Government Complexes for Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA).

The total Cooling Capacity required for Amaravati Government Complexes is 20,000 TR which will be achieved in multiple phases.

The District Cooling System which will be managed by Tabreed, will start operating by 2021 and will provide total Air Conditioning of 5000 Ton Refrigeration (TR) in Phase 1. The distribution network, DCP, Civil Works, thermal storage, etc. shall be constructed for capacity of 20,000 TR in Phase 1 itself while the chillers and associated electro-mechanical components will be installed for 5,000 TR in Phase 1.

The DCS will result in 50% reduction in primary energy consumption as compared with other cooling systems and hence reduce the carbon emissions in the atmosphere by almost 50%.
