Tractebel sponsors the 8th International Conference on Nuclear Decommissioning (ICOND 2019) that will take place in Aachen – Germany from 12 until 14 November 2019.
The ICOND 2019 conference focuses on legal parameters and compares decommissioning strategies worldwide, addressing many topics including authorization, financial planning, and change management in the transition from nuclear power plant operation to decommissioning project. Options for interim storage and final disposal of radioactive waste are also considered.
The conference is aimed at operators of nuclear plants and companies who are working on the planning, implementation and supervision of decommissioning projects, authorities and technical experts whose focus includes the approval and supervisions procedure of decommissioning projects as well as research institutions which are responsible for the decommissioning of research reactors and the storage and/or disposal of radioactive waste.
The panel of speakers includes a presentation given by a member of Tractebel on Radwaste Repositories – Examples of Radwaste Repositories Design in Belgium and France on Wednesday 13 November at 15:10.
