The modernization of the Governador Magalhães Pinto soccer stadium, mostly known as Mineirão, was completed on December, 2012. The stadium has undergone modernizing reforms, with investments of 667 million Brazilian Reais (about €248 mi), so that it could be prepared to receive the soccer matches of the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.
Sylwin Alpha was at the time of installation the largest and heaviest HVDC substation in the world. Innovative and patented engineering ensured a smooth installation.
