The Challenge

Our client, PANTERA, has just received key permits for the construction of its Actinium-225 Production Center in Mol, Belgium:

  • The environmental permit granted by the Provincie Antwerpen / Province of Antwerp
  • The nuclear permit granted by the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (AFCN/FANC – Federal Agency for Nuclear ControlFANC – Federal Agency for Nuclear Control).

The Solution

Throughout all phases, Tractebel combines its infrastructure and nuclear expertise to support the design and construction of the facility. Our engineers are jointly designing the new facility with MODULO architects and providing engineering services in the fields of structural engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electricity, fire protection, instrumentation & control (I&C), and mechanical. Our sustainability team played a significant role in the permit process by identifying risks and guiding our client through the procedures.
