The Emborcação Hydropower Plant, located on the Parnaíba River between the States of Minas Gerais and Goiás, in Brazil, has 4 generation units with a total installed capacity of 1,192 MW and it was inaugurated in 1982. At the time of its construction, Emborcação had the highest Clayey Core rockfill dam in Brazil.
