Lahmeyer International is now Tractebel

Since January 31st, German engineering and consulting company Lahmeyer International is operating under the Tractebel brand with the new company name: Tractebel Engineering GmbH.

The Lahmeyer Group was acquired by Brussels-based Tractebel in 2014. Tractebel is one of the world’s leading international engineering and advisory companies with more than 150 years of experience in energy, water and urban infrastructure projects. In 2018 the company recorded a turnover of Euro 675 million with a work-force of around 5,000 employees in over 30 countries. Tractebel is part of the global energy and services group ENGIE.

The integration of Lahmeyer into the Tractebel organisation has been carried out over the the last four years. Business partners and clients such as development banks, ministries of energy and water, and energy supply companies worldwide, have since benefited from the combined strength of the Tractebel group.

Due to the world-class reputation of the Lahmeyer brand, the endorsement “With the trusted expertise of Lahmeyer International” will be displayed in the company’s main commercial documents and communications tools.
