Health & Safety

Making health and safety our top priority

No life at risk, no mind at risk, no asset at risk is at the core of our commitments.

We firmly believe in the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and partners. For us, there is no room for compromise, and we believe that integrating safety into every decision is not just a priority but a core value : “No life at risk, no mind at risk, no asset at risk,”.

Our commitment to a “speak up” culture empowers every team member to voice concerns and share ideas, ensuring that safety is always at the forefront.

Our 5 Essentials

As part of the One Safety Culture, we put into practice five essential principles to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone:

  1. Strict adherence to the 9 Life-Saving Rules.
  2. Immediate stoppage of hazardous work.
  3. Systematic reporting of events and incidents.
  4. Shared vigilance
  5. Last-Minute Risk Assessment.

Engaging Our Clients in Safety

Health and Safety are not just about protecting our employees and subcontractors—they also extend to our public and private clients, as well as international funding partners. To foster a strong safety culture, we have implemented five key managerial rituals that promote exemplary safety behavior:

  1. Management Safety Visit (MSV): On-site safety visit by management as an opportunity to discuss health and safety.
  2. Contractor Safety Leadership Visit: Joint safety visit in collaboration to engage our contractors on safe practices.
  3. Life-Saving Check: Ensure that safe behaviors are adopted in daily activities by respecting safety instructions.
  4. Toolbox Talks: Workplace safety awareness sessions to share and discuss in an open and transparent manner key topics in the prevention of serious or fatal accidents.
  5. Safety Performance Review: Regular safety performance evaluations with the project and management team and client to ensure focus on major risks.

These managerial rituals aim to foster collective and continuous awareness of safety’s critical importance.

Health & Safety: Our Top Priority

As engineers, we must ensure from the very beginning of a project that both design and execution meet the highest safety standards.

We prioritize health and safety not just in words, but through concrete actions and measures. Every employee, regardless of their position, has the authority to stop work if necessary (Stop Work Authority).

Additionally, we have implemented the EOSC program as part of our onboarding training for all leaders. This program, created by our parent company ENGIE, is being deployed in accordance with the group roadmap, ensuring our leaders are equipped with the knowledge and skills to uphold our safety standards.

Never compromise on safety

Our Health & Safety policy is fully aligned with ENGIE’s vision: ensuring the highest safety standards for our employees, clients, and partners, with a strong focus on preventing serious and fatal accidents.
