Tehri Pumped Storage Project

The Challenge

Implement an underground 4×250 MW PSP with exceptional head range (≈130–230 m) using existing reservoirs and previously built works.

The Solution

Tractebel provided end-to-end technical support for the Tehri PSP project. This included the preparation and submission of complete pre-qualification and tender documents for the EPC contract, assistance with bid clarifications, evaluation of offers, and contract award. During the execution phase, Tractebel reviewed designs, studies, and drawings, ensuring compliance and quality up to commissioning. The project also included training and knowledge transfer to local stakeholders, reinforcing long-term operational capacity.
