Despite strong national growth in generation capacity, the distribution network remained fragmented, limiting socio-economic development in rural and peri-urban areas. The challenge was to extend and reinforce the urban distribution infrastructure efficiently, ensuring that utility-scale investments translate into tangible benefits for residents and businesses across diverse regions.

The Solution

Tractebel delivered a comprehensive suite of engineering and consultancy services to support this critical expansion. The team reviewed and enhanced existing feasibility studies, prepared detailed Requests for Proposals, and provided robust support during the competitive tendering phase. Parallel to this, Tractebel conducted Environmental & Social Impact studies to ensure sustainable implementation. Throughout the construction process, the company monitored and supervised works, guaranteeing compliance with technical specifications and social safeguards, and paving the way for a resilient and inclusive energy network.
