In 2023, we committed to achieve Net Zero by 2045 and set Science Based Targets to mitigate our carbon emissions. While our engineering solutions for clients that decarbonize energy infrastructure are by far Tractebel’s most consequential contribution to Net Zero, we’re also reducing our carbon emissions as a company and as individuals. → See our annual report to track our impact

In recognition of our high environmental performance, some Tractebel management systems have been awarded environmental certifications including ISO 14001 and the eco-dynamic label. While we celebrate these achievements, our performance can always be better and we relentlessly strive to achieve more.

At Tractebel, we engineer and build responsibly with labor practices that prioritize health, safety and security. Our culture fosters and celebrates diversity and inclusion. 

Every employee has the right to a healthy, safe and secure workplace. The living environment around us, created or potentially impacted by our activities, should also be free from harm. 

That’s why we have made zero accidents our target along with the prevention of psychosocial risks among other commitments detailed in our → health and safety policy. With regular training, we ensure progress and continuous improvement across our global business. Ethics & Compliance 

At Tractebel, we strive to conduct all our business in a fair and ethical manner, avoiding even the appearance of impropriety. We seek clients and business partners who share our values and standards of conduct.

In our relationships with partners from suppliers to sub-contractors, we ensure the respect of international human rights. We’re fully certified under the ISO 37001 standard across our five main legal entities, demonstrating our comprehensive implementation of anti-corruption policies and procedures. 

We actively encourage all our business partners to implement our ethics and compliance commitments. As part of ENGIE Group, we have a whistleblower system to anonymously report practices that do not respect our ethical commitments.

We deliver on this promise first and foremost in our client projects, but also importantly through our partnership and stewardship efforts. Our aim is to support the communities that host our projects and offices and to engage in inclusive, participatory dialogue that builds trust. 

We’re proud that our presence helps to create jobs, support local suppliers and enable training opportunities as well as support civic and charitable organizations.
