Tractebel supports ITER Organization and Fusion for Energy in the installation’s design, construction and commissioning. Our engineers also oversee the qualification of nuclear equipment.

Listen to our colleagues and clients, Laurent Patisson and Yves Belpomo, from the ITER Organization and Jean-Baptiste Girardo and Florent Papineschi from Fusion for Energy who explain what added value Tractebel brings to the project. They stress Tractebel’s ability to provide high-level expertise in the various nuclear engineering fields to address complex issues.

Our scope is broad. We offer civil engineering, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and electrical systems services, both on-site and remotely. Our expertise for ITER also covers nuclear safety, system engineering, liquid and gas systems, and Instrumentation and control.

Ronan Moullec

Project Director at Tractebel

Tractebel can provide on-demand specific skills, in particular when there is an ITER demand on confinement, qualification, or seismic analysis, things where Tractebel's expertise is extremely valuable and necessary for ITER.

Laurent Patisson

Civil Engineering and Interface Project Leader, ITER Organization

Tractebel's key strength is its experience in the operational support for several nuclear plants in Belgium, which covers various fields of expertise, especially civil works, seismic analysis, or qualification of mechanical, electrical, and INC components.
