During this conference, Lahmeyer International, a company of Tractebel, will present its competency in the area of energy management: Within the 4th panel of the forum, Michael Wünnemann, Executive Director of the Energy Division at Lahmeyer International, will speak on the topic “Energy Master Planning in the Middle East Region - Energy Supply with Fossil Power Plants combined with Renewable Energies”. Panel 4 will be held on 29 November 2017 at 11:00 a.m. under the title “The Future of Oil & Gas: Delivering Innovative Technologies and Solutions”.

Michael Wünnemann’s presentation features a project that Lahmeyer was awarded in Kuwait. The aim of the project is the development of a masterplan to secure Kuwait’s electricity and water supply through 2040 including different services: Based on a forecast of Kuwait’s power and water demand through 2040, Lahmeyer assumes the task of the technology and site selection for new power and water plants. An important premise of the project is the integration of economical and eco-friendly technologies in the urban environment while utilising existing electricity grids. For a highly efficient project management, Lahmeyer uses advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the planning phase thereby increasing the quality of work and making the planning process more productive.

The 8th Arab-German Energy Forum is held under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Brigitte Zypries, who will inaugurate the conference. The objective of the event is to strengthen and expand the Arab-German business relations in the energy sector.
