Our multi-disciplinary teams are involved in the eco-design of the project as part of an iterative process of co-construction on the 3 pillars:
- Environmental: preserving biodiversity, reducing resource consumption (water, energy, low-carbon, geo- and bio-sourced materials), circular economy, climate resilience, water cycle, greenhouse gas emissions;
- Economic: consolidating the cost of the project over its entire life cycle, analysing the issues involved, questioning needs, anticipating future problems, optimising raw materials, energy efficiency, reducing maintenance needs, replacing equipment, construction methods, etc;
- Social plan: mobilisation of all project stakeholders to encourage buy-in, alignment and strengthening of relations in order to increase the project’s acceptability, durability and sustainability.
Tractebel has developed effective and proven in-house tools for analysing the life cycle of projects, in particular to monitor indicators relating to GHG emissions, climate change, depletion of natural resources, soil acidification and toxicity.
