Engineering & Project Management Consultancy for Compressed Biogas Plant

Challenge

As part of the Government of India’s energy transition strategy and its ambition to expand the use of Compressed Biogas (CBG) as a sustainable alternative fuel, BPCL initiated the development of a CBG plant in Kozhikode, Kerala. The project aims to transform organic waste into a valuable source of renewable energy while contributing to the country’s circular economy, decarbonization, and energy security objectives.

Solution

Tractebel is providing end-to-end Engineering and Project Management Consultancy (EPMC) services to support the successful delivery of the facility. Leveraging its multidisciplinary expertise, Tractebel guides the project from the initial engineering phase through procurement and construction, ensuring technical excellence, quality, and compliance at every stage. By coordinating stakeholders, supporting tendering activities, reviewing engineering deliverables, and supervising on-site execution, Tractebel helps BPCL transform its vision into a reliable and future-ready renewable energy asset.

Impact

The project introduces a sustainable and responsible waste management solution by converting organic waste into renewable, low-carbon fuel.
