Find out moreSince May 2016, Tractebel has been providing support services for the development and implementation of a Geoinformation Management System platform for the Municipality of Niterói, in Brazil. On June, this project won the MundoGEO#Connect Award in the category Municipal Management. Tractebel’s role is also to ensure that this project is done in conformity with standards established by the Inter-American Development Bank, one of the project’s funders.
The platform allows Niterói to interconnect details originally recorded separately within its various departments of Finance, Environment, Civil Defense and Urbanism. Efficiency in customer service provided to local citizens will be increased, besides allowing an improvement in the city’s strategic decision-making. The platform implementation is expected to be completed by August this year, and online apps will make life easier for citizens.
